At Errington Primary School we follow the National Curriculum. When we composed our curriculum, we wanted to utilise the local links and ensure that we planned meaningful experiences to provide awe, wonder and curiosity. We have planned a key skills and knowledge document for each year group which can be found under each subject. Here you will see which skills and knowledge will be taught for each year group and how this is then built upon the following year. We believe that experiences and opportunities allow learning to ‘stick’ and be retained as they move through school.
We teach topics that excite and interest children. We link subjects together so that they are taught the skills and knowledge through exciting topics allowing them to explore themes and ideas.
The curriculum is available within each curriculum subject and then how it is taught in each year group, within the year group sections. If you would like any further information on the curriculum please see our curriculum lead – Mr Fishpool or the class teachers.
