Sofia Windfarm

Richard from Sofia Windfarms came to talk to us about the new windfarm that is being built down the road from the school. The children are aware of this due to the extensive building work within their locality. He spoke about Dogger Bank and why this part of the sea is so much shallower than the rest due to the ice age.

He also spoke about all the jobs necessary to build the windfarm and then to maintain this in the coming years to come. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about potential careers right on their door step doing something so important for our world.
