Expressive Arts and Design

Expressive arts and design is a specific area of learning. Under the umbrella of expressive arts and design we cover a wide range of skills and activities. We have creative areas in the indoor and outdoor areas of provision. The children can enjoy a wide range of activities such as:

• Painting, drawing and exploring different media on a small and large scale.
• Singing, dancing and playing instruments
• Performing and role play
• Building and designing using different media and materials.

Children have free access to expressive arts and design activities within the provision as well as adult led focus activities. The focus actives will be linked to the topic and build on skills such as using scissors, creative problem solving and performing.
